Round Pool Project
Depending on your yard and town’s requirements you may be able to fit a round swimming pool in your yard. For the most part, round pools offer more swimming space than oval pools.

About this Project
The Nakoma Matrix by SharkLine Is a great pool. We used to install pools for a store in Johnston RI that used to sell a lot of these pools. The Nakoma only has hardware for the wall seem. The rest of the pool is resin. Which makes this pool a good pool if you’re interested in running a saltwater pool.
When we set up for a round pool install we start by marking the pool out with paint and we create a couple of offsets in the yard to make sure we can find the center of the pool.
Once the pool is marked out we can start digging the pool out. We use a bobcat (skid steer) to dig the pool. If the pool is going on ground that is more than 8 inches out of level then there is an extra charge for excavation.
When we build the pool we set blocks under each upright and we get those blocks within a quarter of an inch of one another. We use a laser to set the blocks and do the site work.
We use mason sand under the liner. We wet the sand then roll and tamp the bottom to create a solid surface.
We use a vacuum to create a suction behind the liner then we can kick out all the wrinkles. It’s important to center the liner when kicking out wrinkles because if the liner isn’t centered it could create more stress on one side of the liner and the seem could let go.
